“Physical Training should have as much a place in the curriculum as Mental Training”, observed Gandhiji. This dictum is faithfully practiced as the college conducts and organizes sports activities throughout the academic year. Our students participate in all leading tournaments conducted by the University and other colleges at state and National levels prove their mettle.
Scholarships are awarded to those students who have excelled in their respective games/sports. Our students have the distinction of winning numerous awards, trophies and medals that bear testimony to their exemplary performance.
A sports complex named “Cauvery” that matches international standards was inaugurated in the year 2015. Students are trained in both indoor and outdoor games such as basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table tennis, Carrom and Chess etc. a gymnasium was established in the academic year 2015-2016 and the Volleyball and Basketball courts under flood lighted.
The college proposes to establish a hostel exclusive for sports persons who have accomplished at State, National and International levels and would provide free accommodation.
