NCC ARMOURED
To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
The very first aim of NCC is that it provides you an environment where your character is developed all around, because a person's character is very important as to how he is perceived by society. The cadets are part of a society where everyone has each other's back and are living in harmony and working together and develop comradeship. The cadets are taught discipline through drill and physical activities. Their leadership qualities are developed by giving them ranks and responsibilities at a young age.
The camps bring about a spirit of adventure and are given exposure to other state cadets and cadets belonging to different backgrounds and this imbibes qualities of patriotism.
To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
Cadets have a unique identity wherever they go and as the saying goes, " Once a cadet , always a cadet" , ex NCC cadets have a skill which makes you disciplined and are trained in the way of following and giving orders and the leadership qualities taught last enough for a life time and ex NCC cadets have gone on to achieve great things in many fields.
To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.
The cadets are trained in the military way of life and are given training my soldiers and officer and are allowed to participate in many adventure activities and are motivated to take up a career in the armed forces.
“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE”
The need for having a motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The mottos suggested were “Duty and Discipline”; “Duty, Unity and Discipline”; “Duty and Unity”; “Unity and Discipline”. The final decision for the selection of “Unity and Discipline” as a motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” which means all the cadets of NCC should be well disciplined. They should have good character, attitude, and ambition along with social responsibility. They must be united together as a team in all aspects without any discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, language, race, and social status.
The vision and mission of NCC is to create awareness among the student community regarding its importance towards nation building. Besides, an NCC cadet is presented with a plethora of job opportunities in reputed government and public sector concerns. We intend to train students to participate in the Republic Day parade and youth exchange program. NCC contributes to the overall personality development of a person and mentally equips them to face the various challenges they may encounter in life.
WE THE CADETS OF THE NATIONAL CADET CORPS,DO SOLEMNLY PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL ALWAYS UPHOLD THE UNITY OF INDIA.WE RESOLVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF OUR NATION.WE SHALL UNDERTAKE POSITIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN THE SPIRIT OF SELFLESSNESSAND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW BEINGS.
The NCC flag for various units of the NCC was first introduced in 1951. The flag was of same pattern, colour and size as was used by various regiments of the Army. The only difference was that it had the NCC badge and unit designation placed in the centre. Later on it was felt that the flag should be in keeping with the inter-service character of the Corps. In 1954 the existing tricolour flag was introduced. The three colours in the flag depict the three services of the Corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy and light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, give the flag a colourful look and a distinct identity.
