The PG Department of Data Science (B.Sc. & M.Sc.), is committed to academic excellence, innovation, and research in the rapidly evolving field of data science. The undergraduate program provides a solid grounding in core concepts such as data management, statistics, and computational techniques, while the postgraduate program focuses on advanced areas including machine learning, big data analytics, and intelligent systems. - Adoption of ICT-enabled teaching–learning practices using digital tools, smart classrooms, and online learning platforms.
- Faculty actively participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, conferences, and training programmes to enhance academic and research competence.
- Implementation of a Mentor–Mentee system to provide academic guidance, career counseling, and personal support to students.
- Organization of workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and certificate programmes on emerging technologies such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Discipline and Professional Practices
To promote discipline and professionalism, the PG Department of Data Science has introduced a uniform dress code for students.
- Students must wear the uniform on Monday and Friday. This initiative helps maintain discipline, equality, and a professional environment within the department.
