About the Department

The Department of Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence was established in 2025 to equip students with a strong foundation in computer science, while promoting specialized knowledge in cutting-edge areas of artificial intelligence.

Mission

To cultivate a learning environment that blends core computing principles with AI-driven problem-solving. To encourage creativity, teamwork, and communication in developing intelligent, human-centered technologies. To equip students with hands-on experience in AI tools, programming, data analytics, and machine learning. To promote industry readiness through internships, interdisciplinary projects, and exposure to AI applications in society.

Vision

To empower students with strong foundations in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, fostering innovation, ethical thinking, and develop smart, AI-based solutions for real-world problems.

Eligibility Criteria

A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Best Practices

The curriculum is designed with a focus on emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence and will be periodically updated to meet industry needs.
Emphasis on hands-on learning through labs, mini-projects, and real-world problem-solving.
Students are encouraged to participate in coding contests, hackathons, and technical events to foster innovation and competitive skills.
