SECRETARY

Shri. Ashok Kumar Mundhra Ji, our beloved secretary has always been our support system. The hard work and perseverance of the successive members of the management have helped this institution emerge as one of the greatest institutions of all time and now it is our duty to carry forward this legacy of celebrating the power of knowledge to transform the society, where his thought-provoking words.

 

 

PRINCIPAL

Capt.Dr.S.Santhosh Baboo, principal, DDGD Vaishnav College, has around 21 years of post-graduate teaching in computer science which includes six years of administrative experience. He is a member of the board of studies in several autonomous colleges and designs the curriculum of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He is a consultant for starting new courses, setting up computer labs, and recruiting lecturers for many colleges. Also, he is equipped with a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Doctorate in Computer Science. GENERAL RULES:

  1. Events are open for both UG & PG
  2. Registration can be done online
  3. Registration fee Rs. 100 mode of payment through GPay and Paytm

  7. Participants: 
    • Must have a good internet connectivity
    • Must adhere to the time allotted
    • Must strictly adhere to ethical practices

    • Must keep their video on throughout the event 
    • Should follow a proper dress code
    • Should not use any inappropriate or vulgar words

Information on rules and rounds for the event is subject to change on the day of the event. It is left to the decision of the organizing committee.

EVENTS

CORPORATE SHOWDOWN  (CORPORATE WALK)

RULES

  1. Group event
  2. of rounds - 1
  3. of videos to be submitted - 1
  4. Duration of the video (10 mins maximum)
  5. Participants must be dressed according to the themes (it has to be professional)
  6. One person from a college can participate.

 MAKING THE CUT (AD REVIEW)       

RULES

The participants who fail to appear for the preliminary round shall not be considered for the finals.

The maximum duration
(a) For thinking-3 minutes
(b) To enact- 5 to 7 minutes

  1. The Advertisement will be in English
  2. For the Preliminary round, it is a group event. For 2nd and final round, it is an individual event.
  3. The teammates for the event will be decided by the host.
  4. Caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation, etc. in Advertisement.
  5. In case participants exceed the time limit. Judges will be free to disqualify the team.
  6. The decision of the Judges will be final and binding.

RULES

  1. Images should be captured only in DSLR (Information of the image ISO and Shutter speed should be submitted along with the image).
  2. No editing or color correction should be made.
  3. Photo should be submitted through the given mail before the deadline.

ERUDITE (BLOG WRITING)

  1. The First Round Will Be an Off-Event i.e. Will Be Conducted On 20th Oct 2021 And The Final Round Will Be Held On 21st Oct 2021
  2. Maximum of 5 People Will Be Shortlisted for The Final Round
  3. The First Round Will Contain a Common Topic and The Time Limit is 30 mins
  4. The Final Round Will Be On Random Basis I.e. the Contestants Shall Choose the Topic Randomly
  5. The Time Limit for the Final Event Shall Be 20 mins

Criteria

  1. No Grammatical Mistakes
  2. Plagiarism Should Not Exceed 20%
  3. The Content for The Blog Should Be Relatable and Relevant to The Topic Given
  4. It Should Be Creative

RULES

  1. The Video Should Be On Throughout the Event
  2. The Blog Should Be Submitted in A Word Document and Should Be Submitted Within the Time Limit or Else the Contestant Will Be Disqualified
  3. Caution Should Be Taken to Refrain from Displaying Violence, Prejudice, Defamation, Obscenity Etc.

RULES

  1. It is an online event.
  2. 3 Members per team.
  3. 2 Teams per college can participate.
  4. Video Duration: Minimum 2 minutes and maximum 3 minutes (Including Title and Credits)
  5. Films exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected.
  6. Vulgarity and obscenity will not be entertained in any content submitted. Such entries shall be disqualified.
  7. Duplication of any content is not entertained.
  8. Videos can be shot either in English or Tamil.
  9. Themes: College Life, Corporate Life, Lockdown Life.
  10. The participants should send their short films on or before the stipulated date to the given mail ID.
